मोदीनगर। भूकंप जैसी प्राकृतिक आपदा के दौरान राहत और बचाव कार्यों की तैयारियों को परखने के लिए शुक्रवार को मोदी साइंस एंड कॉमर्स कॉलेज, मोदीनगर में मॉक ड्रिल का आयोजन किया गया। अभ्यास के दौरान भूकंप की स्थिति में कॉलेज में फंसे लोगों को सुरक्षित बाहर निकालने, प्राथमिक उपचार देने और अस्पताल तक पहुंचाने की प्रक्रिया का अभ्यास किया गया।
मॉक ड्रिल में मोदीनगर एसडीआरएफ, अग्निशमन विभाग, पुलिस, तहसील प्रशासन, पीएससी, नगर पालिका सहित विभिन्न संबंधित विभागों की टीमें शामिल हुईं। संयुक्त टीमों ने कॉलेज परिसर में भूकंप के दौरान उत्पन्न होने वाली संभावित परिस्थितियों को दर्शाते हुए रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन चलाया।
सूचना मिलते ही मौके पर पहुंचीं राहत-बचाव टीमें
मोदीनगर एसडीएम के अनुसार, सुबह करीब 10:25 बजे गाजियाबाद से सूचना प्राप्त हुई कि भूकंप की आपदा के चलते मोदी साइंस एंड कॉमर्स कॉलेज में कुछ बच्चे फंस गए हैं।
सूचना मिलते ही संबंधित विभागों की टीमें मौके पर पहुंचीं और संयुक्त रूप से राहत एवं बचाव अभियान शुरू किया। मॉक ड्रिल का उद्देश्य वास्तविक आपदा की स्थिति में विभिन्न विभागों की प्रतिक्रिया और आपसी समन्वय को परखना था।
37 बच्चों और एक शिक्षक का किया गया रेस्क्यू
अभ्यास के दौरान एसडीआरएफ, पीएससी, पुलिस और प्रशासन की संयुक्त मदद से कॉलेज परिसर से 37 बच्चों और एक शिक्षक को सुरक्षित बाहर निकालने का अभ्यास किया गया।
इसके बाद सभी को मोदीनगर सीएचसी तक पहुंचाने की प्रक्रिया का भी अभ्यास किया गया। मॉक ड्रिल की परिकल्पित स्थिति में एक बच्चे की हालत गंभीर दिखाई गई, जबकि पांच बच्चों को गंभीर चोटें होने की स्थिति दर्शाई गई। ऐसे बच्चों को अस्पताल रेफर करने की प्रक्रिया का अभ्यास किया गया।
वहीं, अन्य बच्चों को मामूली चोटों की स्थिति में दिखाया गया, जिनका प्राथमिक उपचार करने के बाद घर भेजने की प्रक्रिया पूरी की गई।
विभागों के बीच समन्वय पर रहा जोर
अधिकारियों ने बताया कि मॉक ड्रिल का मुख्य उद्देश्य आपदा के समय विभिन्न विभागों के बीच बेहतर समन्वय और त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया की तैयारियों को परखना था।
अभ्यास के दौरान यह भी देखा गया कि सूचना मिलने के बाद राहत एवं बचाव दल कितनी तेजी से मौके पर पहुंचते हैं और फंसे लोगों को सुरक्षित बाहर निकालने के लिए किस तरह संयुक्त रूप से काम करते हैं।
बच्चों को भी बताए गए भूकंप से बचाव के तरीके
मॉक ड्रिल के दौरान कॉलेज के बच्चों को भूकंप आने की स्थिति में घबराने के बजाय सुरक्षित रहने के उपायों की जानकारी दी गई। उन्हें सुरक्षित स्थान पर जाने, सिर को सुरक्षित रखने और आपात स्थिति में बचाव दल के निर्देशों का पालन करने के बारे में बताया गया।
अधिकारियों ने बच्चों को आपदा के दौरान संयम बनाए रखने और बचाव कार्य में बाधा न डालने के महत्व से भी अवगत कराया।

Modinagar Earthquake Mock Drill: 37 Students and Teacher Rescued in Emergency Exercise
Modinagar: A mock drill simulating an earthquake disaster was conducted at Modi Science and Commerce College in Modinagar on Friday to assess the preparedness of various departments for relief and rescue operations during a natural disaster.
The exercise focused on rescuing people trapped inside the college, providing first aid and shifting injured persons to a hospital. Teams from the Modinagar SDRF, Fire Department, Police, Tehsil Administration, PSC and Municipal authorities, among other departments, participated in the exercise.
Rescue Teams Respond to Simulated Emergency
According to the Modinagar SDM, information was received from Ghaziabad at around 10:25 am that several students were trapped at Modi Science and Commerce College following a simulated earthquake disaster.
Soon after receiving the information, teams from the concerned departments reached the college and jointly began the simulated relief and rescue operation.
The exercise was designed to assess how quickly the departments could respond to an emergency and coordinate their efforts during a disaster.
37 Students and One Teacher Rescued in Mock Exercise
As part of the mock drill, teams from SDRF, PSC, police and administration practised rescuing 37 students and one teacher from the college premises.
The exercise also included the procedure for transporting the rescued persons to Modinagar Community Health Centre (CHC).
Under the simulated scenario, one student was shown to be in critical condition, while five students were shown as suffering serious injuries. The teams practised the procedure for referring such patients to a hospital.
Other students were shown with minor injuries and were given simulated first aid before the process of sending them home was completed.
Focus on Inter-Departmental Coordination
Officials said the main objective of the mock drill was to assess coordination, preparedness and response capabilities among different departments during a disaster.
The exercise also tested the response mechanism after receiving an emergency alert, including the arrival of rescue teams, evacuation of trapped people and coordination between rescue, police, administration and medical teams.
Students Briefed on Earthquake Safety Measures
During the exercise, students were also informed about basic safety measures to follow during an earthquake. They were advised to remain calm, move to a safe location, protect their heads and follow instructions given by rescue personnel during an emergency.
Officials emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and avoiding panic during disaster situations.
