मोदीनगर। थाना मोदीनगर क्षेत्र में बीड़ी, सिगरेट, पान मसाला और गुटखा सप्लाई करने वाले एक व्यापारी के साथ करीब 15 दिनों के भीतर दो बार चोरी की घटना सामने आई है। पीड़ित का आरोप है कि दोनों घटनाओं में बदमाश उसकी मोपेड पर रखा बीड़ी-सिगरेट और पान मसाले का सामान चोरी कर फरार हो गए।
पीड़ित के पास दोनों घटनाओं के सीसीटीवी फुटेज मौजूद होने की बात कही गई है। शिकायतकर्ता का आरोप है कि पुलिस को सूचना देने और फुटेज उपलब्ध होने के बावजूद उसे कार्रवाई के लिए लगातार टाला जाता रहा। इसके बाद पीड़ित ने मोदीनगर एसीपी कार्यालय पहुंचकर शिकायत दी और आरोपियों की पहचान कर कार्रवाई की मांग की।
29 अगस्त को पहली चोरी का आरोप
पीड़ित मोदीनगर के डबल स्टोरी गोविंदपुरी का निवासी बताया गया है। उसके अनुसार वह पिछले करीब 20 से 30 वर्षों से बीड़ी, सिगरेट, पान मसाला और गुटखा सप्लाई का काम कर परिवार का पालन-पोषण कर रहा है।
पीड़ित के मुताबिक, 29 अगस्त 2026 को वह मोदी स्टील के सामने एक दुकान पर सामान पहुंचा रहा था। इसी दौरान पीछे से आए एक व्यक्ति ने उसकी मोपेड पर रखा बीड़ी-सिगरेट और अन्य सामान कथित तौर पर उठा लिया और मौके से फरार हो गया।
घटना के बाद पीड़ित ने पुलिस को सूचना दी और बताया कि घटना से संबंधित सीसीटीवी फुटेज भी उपलब्ध है।
13 सितंबर को दोबारा चोरी का दावा
पीड़ित का आरोप है कि पहली घटना के बाद कार्रवाई की बजाय उसे बार-बार बाद में आने के लिए कहा जाता रहा। इसी बीच 13 सितंबर 2026 को दोपहर करीब 2:10 बजे दूसरी घटना होने का दावा किया गया।
पीड़ित के अनुसार, तरुण होटल के बाहर ऋषभ विहार के सामने उसकी मोपेड से दो स्कूटी सवार व्यक्ति बीड़ी, सिगरेट, पान मसाला और गुटखे से भरा थैला उठाकर फरार हो गए।
दूसरी घटना का सीसीटीवी फुटेज भी पीड़ित के पास होने की बात कही गई है।
महामाया चौकी पर शिकायत के बाद एसीपी कार्यालय पहुंचा पीड़ित
दूसरी घटना के बाद पीड़ित ने महामाया चौकी पर शिकायत करने का प्रयास किया। उसका आरोप है कि वहां भी उसे सुबह-शाम आने की बात कहकर टाल दिया गया।
इसके बाद परेशान होकर पीड़ित मोदीनगर एसीपी कार्यालय पहुंचा और दोनों घटनाओं की शिकायत अधिकारियों को दी। उसने सीसीटीवी फुटेज के आधार पर संदिग्धों की पहचान कराने, चोरी हुआ सामान बरामद कराने और आरोपियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग की है।
15 दिन में 50 से 60 हजार रुपये के सामान की चोरी का दावा
पीड़ित के मुताबिक, दोनों घटनाओं में कुल करीब 50 से 60 हजार रुपये का बीड़ी, सिगरेट, पान मसाला और गुटखा चोरी हो चुका है।
पीड़ित ने अधिकारियों से दोनों घटनाओं की जांच कराने और सीसीटीवी फुटेज के आधार पर आरोपियों तक पहुंचने की मांग की है।
फिलहाल मामले में पुलिस की ओर से आधिकारिक बयान सामने आने के बाद ही यह स्पष्ट हो सकेगा कि शिकायत पर क्या कार्रवाई की गई है और मामले में मुकदमा दर्ज हुआ है या नहीं।

Modinagar Bidi-Cigarette Supplier Reports Two Thefts in 15 Days, Claims Goods Worth Rs 50-60K Stolen
Modinagar: A trader supplying bidi, cigarettes, pan masala and gutka in the Modinagar police station area has reported two alleged theft incidents within a span of around 15 days. According to the complainant, unidentified persons allegedly took tobacco products kept on his moped and fled from the spot on both occasions.
The victim says he has CCTV footage of both incidents. He has alleged that despite informing the police and stating that CCTV footage was available, he was repeatedly asked to come later. The complainant subsequently approached the Modinagar ACP office and sought action against those allegedly involved.
First Theft Reported on August 29
The complainant is a resident of Double Story Govindpuri in Modinagar. According to him, he has been supplying bidi, cigarettes, pan masala and gutka for around 20 to 30 years to support his family.
The trader said that on August 29, 2026, he was delivering goods to a shop in front of Modi Steel. During this time, a person allegedly approached from behind, picked up bidi, cigarettes and other goods kept on his moped and fled.
Following the incident, the complainant said he informed the police and also told them that CCTV footage related to the incident was available.
Second Theft Reported on September 13
The complainant alleged that after the first incident, he was repeatedly asked to return later instead of receiving the expected action. He then reported another theft on September 13, 2026, at around 2:10 pm.
According to the complaint, two people riding a scooter allegedly took a bag containing bidi, cigarettes, pan masala and gutka from his moped outside Tarun Hotel near Rishabh Vihar.
The complainant said CCTV footage of the second incident is also available with him.
Victim Approaches ACP Office After Complaint at Mahamaya Outpost
After the second incident, the trader approached Mahamaya Police Outpost with a complaint. He alleged that he was again asked to return at different times and that his complaint was not acted upon as expected.
The complainant subsequently reached the Modinagar ACP office and submitted details of both incidents. He requested officials to identify the suspected persons with the help of CCTV footage, recover the stolen goods and take action according to law.
Trader Claims Goods Worth Rs 50,000-60,000 Stolen
According to the complainant, goods worth approximately Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 were allegedly stolen in the two incidents.
The trader has requested an investigation into both cases and identification of those involved on the basis of the available CCTV footage.
