Modinagar Corruption Case : गाजियाबाद के मोदीनगर क्षेत्र में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए एंटी करप्शन टीम ने आबकारी विभाग के हेड कांस्टेबल जगत सिंह को 6 हजार रुपये की रिश्वत लेते हुए रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार कर लिया। कार्रवाई के बाद आबकारी विभाग में हड़कंप मच गया और पूरे क्षेत्र में इस मामले की चर्चा शुरू हो गई।
ठेकेदार की शिकायत पर बिछाया गया जाल
जानकारी के अनुसार तहलेटे गांव में शराब का ठेका संचालित करने वाले ठेकेदार भीम सिंह ने एंटी करप्शन टीम से शिकायत की थी। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि आबकारी विभाग के हेड कांस्टेबल जगत सिंह पिछले एक महीने से लगातार उन्हें परेशान कर रहे थे और कथित रूप से मंथली वसूली के लिए दबाव बना रहे थे।
6 हजार रुपये लेते ही टीम ने किया गिरफ्तार
शिकायत के सत्यापन के बाद एंटी करप्शन टीम ने पूरी योजना के तहत जाल बिछाया। जैसे ही आरोपी हेड कांस्टेबल ने शिकायतकर्ता से 6 हजार रुपये की रिश्वत ली, टीम ने उसे मौके पर ही रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार कर लिया। कार्रवाई के दौरान टीम ने आवश्यक साक्ष्य भी एकत्र किए।
मंथली वसूली और उत्पीड़न के आरोप
पीड़ित ठेकेदार का आरोप है कि आरोपी अधिकारी पहले भी उनसे एक महीने की मंथली के रूप में 6 हजार रुपये ले चुका था। इसके अलावा बार-बार चालान काटकर आर्थिक और मानसिक दबाव बनाया जा रहा था। लगातार उत्पीड़न से परेशान होकर उन्होंने एंटी करप्शन विभाग का सहारा लिया।
भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज
एंटी करप्शन टीम ने आरोपी को हिरासत में लेकर पूछताछ शुरू कर दी है। उसके खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर कानूनी कार्रवाई की जा रही है। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि मामले की विस्तृत जांच जारी है और दोषी पाए जाने पर सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
विभाग में मचा हड़कंप
इस गिरफ्तारी के बाद आबकारी विभाग में हड़कंप की स्थिति है। स्थानीय लोगों ने कार्रवाई का स्वागत करते हुए कहा कि भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ ऐसी सख्त कार्रवाई से सरकारी तंत्र में पारदर्शिता बढ़ेगी और आम लोगों को राहत मिलेगी।

The operation has created a stir within the Excise Department and sparked widespread discussion across the area.
Trap Laid Following Contractor’s Complaint
According to reports, liquor contractor Bhim Singh, who operates a liquor shop in Tehlata village, filed a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Team. He alleged that Head Constable Jagat Singh had been harassing him for the past month and was pressuring him to pay a monthly bribe in exchange for avoiding official action.
Arrested While Accepting ₹6,000
After verifying the complaint, the Anti-Corruption Team planned a trap operation. As soon as the accused head constable accepted ₹6,000 from the complainant, the team caught him red-handed and arrested him on the spot. Officials also collected necessary evidence during the operation.
Allegations of Monthly Extortion and Harassment
The complainant claimed that the accused officer had already collected ₹6,000 as a monthly payment earlier. He further alleged that repeated challans and continuous pressure were being used to harass him financially and mentally. Frustrated by the alleged extortion and harassment, he approached the Anti-Corruption Department for help.
Case Registered Under Anti-Corruption Laws
Following the arrest, the Anti-Corruption Team took the accused into custody and began questioning him. A case has been registered against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further legal proceedings are underway. Officials stated that a detailed investigation is being conducted and strict action will be taken if the allegations are proven.
Shockwaves Across the Department
The arrest has caused significant concern within the Excise Department. Local residents welcomed the action, saying that strict measures against corruption help improve transparency in government departments and provide relief to ordinary citizens.
