राहुल गांधी ने सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में लिखा कि 12 साल में देश को ऐसी स्थिति में पहुंचा दिया गया है, जहां सरकार लोगों को यह बताने लगी है कि क्या खरीदना है और क्या नहीं। उन्होंने कहा कि अब देश चलाना प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के बस की बात नहीं रह गया है।

Narendra Modi ने सिकंदराबाद की जनसभा में लोगों से पेट्रोल-डीजल का कम इस्तेमाल करने, वर्क फ्रॉम होम अपनाने, मेट्रो और कारपूलिंग को बढ़ावा देने, खाने के तेल की खपत घटाने और कुछ समय तक सोना न खरीदने की अपील की थी। उन्होंने कहा था कि भारत तेल आयात पर काफी निर्भर है और वैश्विक संकट का असर देश पर पड़ रहा है।
विपक्ष ने सरकार की आर्थिक नीति पर उठाए सवाल
Akhilesh Yadav, Sanjay Singh और Jairam Ramesh समेत कई विपक्षी नेताओं ने सरकार की आर्थिक और विदेश नीति को विफल बताया। विपक्ष का कहना है कि चुनाव खत्म होने के बाद सरकार को अचानक संकट याद आ गया।
