West Bengal Elections 2026: पश्चिम बंगाल में दूसरे चरण की 142 सीटों पर हुए मतदान में 92.48% वोटिंग दर्ज की गई, जो बेहद उच्च मतदान प्रतिशत माना जा रहा है। मतदान के दौरान कई जिलों में हिंसा, लाठीचार्ज और झड़पों की घटनाएं सामने आईं। नॉर्थ 24 परगना में TMC और भाजपा कार्यकर्ताओं के बीच जोरदार भिड़ंत हुई, जिसमें लाठियां और मुक्कों का इस्तेमाल हुआ।
TMC ने आरोप लगाया कि हावड़ा के उदयनारायणपुर में CRPF की पिटाई से एक बुजुर्ग की मौत हो गई। अभिषेक बनर्जी ने दावा किया कि बुजुर्ग वोट डालने गए थे, जहां उनके साथ मारपीट हुई।
EVM में गड़बड़ी के आरोप
भाजपा ने डायमंड हार्बर में EVM से छेड़छाड़ का आरोप लगाया, जबकि चुनाव आयोग ने कहा कि शिकायत सही पाए जाने पर पुनर्मतदान कराया जाएगा। भवानीपुर में सुवेंदु अधिकारी के खिलाफ ‘गो बैक’ और ‘चोर-चोर’ के नारे लगे। उन्होंने भी जवाब में ‘जय श्री राम’ के नारे लगाए।
चुनाव परिणाम और स्थिति
इस चरण की 142 सीटों में से 2021 में 123 सीटों पर TMC की जीत हुई थी। पूरे राज्य की 254 सीटों के नतीजे 4 मई को घोषित किए जाएंगे। भारी मतदान के बावजूद बंगाल चुनाव में हिंसा और विवादों ने चुनावी प्रक्रिया पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। स्थिति पर प्रशासन और चुनाव आयोग की नजर बनी हुई है।

West Bengal Elections 2026: In West Bengal, voting for 142 seats in the second phase recorded a high turnout of 92.48%, which is considered extremely significant. However, several incidents of violence, clashes, and lathi-charge were reported during polling. In North 24 Parganas, supporters of the Trinamool Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party clashed violently, using sticks and fists.
TMC alleged that a senior citizen died in Howrah’s Udaynarayanpur due to assault by CRPF personnel. Abhishek Banerjee claimed that the elderly man had gone to vote when he was allegedly beaten.
Allegations of EVM Tampering
The BJP accused irregularities in EVMs in Diamond Harbour. The Election Commission stated that repolling would be conducted wherever complaints are found to be valid. In Bhavanipur, Suvendu Adhikari faced protests with slogans like “Go Back” and “Chor Chor,” to which he responded with chants of “Jai Shri Ram.”
Election Status and Results
Out of the 142 seats in this phase, TMC had won 123 seats in the 2021 Assembly elections. The results for all 254 seats in the state will be declared on May 4.
Despite the high voter turnout, incidents of violence and controversy have raised serious concerns about the electoral process. Authorities and the Election Commission are closely monitoring the situation.
