Ganga Expressway Inaugurated: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने हरदोई में 594 किमी लंबे गंगा एक्सप्रेस-वे का उद्घाटन किया। यह यूपी का अब तक का सबसे लंबा एक्सप्रेस-वे है, जो मेरठ को प्रयागराज से जोड़ेगा।
6 घंटे में तय होगा लंबा सफर
इस एक्सप्रेस-वे के शुरू होने से मेरठ से प्रयागराज की दूरी अब सिर्फ 6 घंटे में पूरी होगी, जो पहले 11-12 घंटे लगते थे। यह परियोजना करीब 37,350 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से तैयार हुई है। पीएम मोदी ने घोषणा की कि गंगा एक्सप्रेस-वे को आगे हरिद्वार से भी जोड़ा जाएगा, जिससे धार्मिक और पर्यटन यात्रा को बड़ा बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
एयरस्ट्रिप और आधुनिक सुविधाएं
इस एक्सप्रेस-वे की खासियत है कि इसमें 3.5 किमी लंबी एयरस्ट्रिप बनाई गई है, जहां रात में भी फाइटर जेट्स की लैंडिंग हो सकती है। साथ ही ट्रॉमा सेंटर, फूड कोर्ट और पेट्रोल पंप जैसी आधुनिक सुविधाएं भी उपलब्ध हैं।
राजनीतिक बयानबाजी भी तेज
अपने संबोधन में पीएम मोदी ने समाजवादी पार्टी और इंडियन नेशनल कांग्रेस पर निशाना साधा। उन्होंने पश्चिम बंगाल में भारी मतदान का जिक्र करते हुए कहा कि ऐसी वोटिंग दशकों में नहीं देखी गई।
डबल इंजन सरकार का विकास मॉडल
पीएम ने कहा कि यह एक्सप्रेस-वे सिर्फ एक सड़क नहीं, बल्कि विकास का प्रतीक है। उन्होंने “डबल इंजन सरकार” के तहत तेज विकास और बेहतर कानून व्यवस्था का दावा किया।
गंगा एक्सप्रेस-वे यूपी के इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और कनेक्टिविटी को नई ऊंचाई देगा, साथ ही आर्थिक और पर्यटन विकास को भी गति मिलेगी।

Ganga Expressway Inaugurated: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 594-km-long Ganga Expressway in Hardoi. It is the longest expressway in Uttar Pradesh so far, connecting Meerut to Prayagraj.
Travel Time Reduced to 6 Hours
With the launch of this expressway, the travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj will be reduced to just 6 hours, compared to the earlier 11–12 hours. The project has been completed at a cost of approximately ₹37,350 crore. PM Modi also announced that the Ganga Expressway will be further extended to connect with Haridwar, which will significantly boost religious tourism and travel.
Airstrip and Modern Facilities
One of the key highlights of the expressway is a 3.5-km-long airstrip that allows fighter jets to land even at night. The expressway is also equipped with modern amenities such as trauma centers, food courts, and petrol pumps.
Political Remarks During the Address
During his speech, PM Modi targeted the Samajwadi Party and the Indian National Congress. He also referred to the high voter turnout in West Bengal, stating that such participation has not been seen in decades.
Development Model of ‘Double Engine Government’
The Prime Minister described the expressway not just as a road, but as a symbol of development. He highlighted rapid growth and improved law and order under the “double engine government. The Ganga Expressway is expected to elevate Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure and connectivity, while also accelerating economic growth and tourism in the region.
