13-Year-Old Boy Dies After Snake Bite in Amroha: Family Waited for 12 Hours Hoping Poison Would Fade in Ganga | Amroha snake bite death
Amroha snake bite death : A shocking case of superstition leading to a tragic death has emerged from Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh. A 13-year-old boy named Amit died after being bitten by a snake because he did not receive timely medical treatment.
According to reports, instead of taking the child to a hospital immediately, family members followed a local superstition. They believed that if a snake-bite victim is placed in the Ganga river, the poison will naturally fade away.
The family reportedly tied Amit to a wooden plank and left him in the flowing water of the Ganga. They waited for nearly 12 hours, hoping that the poison would disappear and the boy would recover.
However, due to the lack of urgent medical treatment, Amit’s condition worsened and he eventually lost his life.
The incident has triggered shock and anger among locals. Health experts say that in cases of snake bites, immediate medical treatment and anti-venom injection are critical to saving a life.
This tragedy once again highlights the danger of superstition and lack of awareness in rural areas.
