नेपाल में बालेंद्र शाह (बालेन) के नेतृत्व वाली नई सरकार ने देश की अर्थव्यवस्था को पटरी पर लाने के लिए एक बड़ा और अनोखा कदम उठाया है। अब सरकारी कर्मचारियों को महीने के अंत तक वेतन का इंतजार नहीं करना होगा, बल्कि उन्हें हर 15 दिन में सैलरी दी जाएगी।
नेपाल के वित्त मंत्रालय ने इस संबंध में आदेश जारी कर दिया है, जिससे नई व्यवस्था को लागू किया जा सके।
🧾 पखवाड़ा वेतन प्रणाली लागू
वित्त मंत्रालय ने 17 अप्रैल, 2026 को ‘पखवाड़ा वेतन प्रणाली’ लागू करने का ऐतिहासिक फैसला लिया। इसके तहत कर्मचारियों का मासिक वेतन दो हिस्सों में बांटकर हर 15 दिन में उनके खातों में जमा किया जाएगा।
📊 फैसले के पीछे सरकार का तर्क
सरकार के अनुसार इस फैसले के पीछे कई महत्वपूर्ण कारण हैं:
- बाजार में कैश फ्लो बढ़ाना: कर्मचारियों के पास जल्दी-जल्दी पैसा आने से खर्च बढ़ेगा और बाजार में नकदी बढ़ेगी।
- अर्थव्यवस्था को गति देना: सुस्त आर्थिक गतिविधियों और रियल एस्टेट में गिरावट से जूझ रहे नेपाल को इससे राहत मिलने की उम्मीद है।
- वित्तीय सुविधा: कर्मचारियों को खर्च और बिल भुगतान के लिए पूरे महीने का इंतजार नहीं करना पड़ेगा।

मार्च में सत्ता संभालने वाली राष्ट्रीय स्वतंत्रता पार्टी (RSP) सरकार का मुख्य फोकस आर्थिक स्थिरता पर है। इस दिशा में कई अहम कदम उठाए गए हैं:
- VIP कल्चर पर सख्ती: नेताओं और अधिकारियों के लिए विशेष सुविधाओं में कटौती
- सरकारी स्कूल अनिवार्य: कर्मचारियों के बच्चों को सरकारी स्कूलों में पढ़ना होगा
- राजनीतिक निष्पक्षता: सरकारी कर्मचारी, शिक्षक और प्रोफेसर किसी राजनीतिक पार्टी से नहीं जुड़ेंगे
- डिजिटल सिस्टम पर जोर: सेवाओं को ऑनलाइन और आसान बनाने का प्रयास

Nepal Balen Shah Government Announces Fortnightly Salary System for Government Employees

The newly formed government in Nepal led by Balen Shah has taken a unique step to revive the country’s economy. Government employees will no longer have to wait till the end of the month for their salaries, as they will now be paid every 15 days.
The Ministry of Finance has issued an official order to implement the new system.
🧾 Fortnightly Salary System Implemented
On April 17, 2026, the Ministry of Finance introduced the ‘Fortnightly Salary System’. Under this system, monthly salaries will be divided into two parts and deposited into employees’ accounts every 15 days.
📊 Reason Behind the Decision
The government has provided key reasons for implementing this system:
- Increase Cash Flow: Frequent salary payments will boost spending and improve liquidity in the market.
- Revive the Economy: Nepal is currently facing slow economic activity and a decline in real estate, and this move is expected to support recovery.
- Financial Convenience: Employees will not have to wait for a full month to manage expenses and bills.

The National Independent Party (RSP) government, which assumed power in March, is focused on economic stability. Several major reforms have been introduced:
- Crackdown on VIP Culture: Reduction in special privileges for officials
- Mandatory Government Schooling: Children of government employees must study in public schools
