गाजियाबाद/भोजपुर। दिल्ली-मेरठ एक्सप्रेसवे पर भोजपुर थाना क्षेत्र में हवा हवाई होटल के पास रविवार को ईंटों से भरे ट्रक ने कांवड़ियों के जत्थे को टक्कर मार दी। हादसे में एक कांवड़िया गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। घायल की पहचान अभिषेक के रूप में हुई है। उसके पैर में गंभीर चोट आई है। प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद उसे मेरठ स्थित सुभारती अस्पताल रेफर किया गया, जहां उसका उपचार चल रहा है।
हरिद्वार से जल लेकर मथुरा जा रहे थे कांवड़िए
जानकारी के मुताबिक, कांवड़ियों का एक जत्था हरिद्वार से गंगाजल लेकर मथुरा की ओर जा रहा था। इसी दौरान मेरठ की तरफ से गाजियाबाद की ओर जा रहे ईंटों से भरे ट्रक की हवा हवाई होटल के पास कांवड़ियों से टक्कर हो गई।
टक्कर के बाद अभिषेक के पैर में गंभीर चोट लग गई। मौके पर मौजूद लोगों और अन्य कांवड़ियों ने घायल को उपचार के लिए अस्पताल पहुंचाया। प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद डॉक्टरों ने उसे मेरठ के सुभारती अस्पताल रेफर कर दिया।
हादसे के बाद कांवड़ियों ने चालक-कंडक्टर को पीटा
हादसे के बाद मौके पर मौजूद कांवड़ियों में आक्रोश फैल गया। गुस्साए कांवड़ियों ने ट्रक को रुकवाया और चालक व कंडक्टर को बाहर निकाल लिया। इसके बाद दोनों की पिटाई कर दी गई।
पिटाई में ट्रक चालक शहजाद और कंडक्टर प्यार मोहम्मद भी घायल हो गए। दोनों मेरठ के खिवई गांव के रहने वाले बताए गए हैं। पुलिस ने दोनों को उपचार के लिए गोविंदपुरी सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र (सीएचसी) भेजा, जहां उनका इलाज कराया जा रहा है।
मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस, स्थिति को किया नियंत्रित
घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और स्थिति को नियंत्रित किया। एहतियात के तौर पर घटनास्थल पर पुलिस बल तैनात कर दिया गया। पुलिस ने घायल कांवड़िए के साथ-साथ ट्रक चालक और कंडक्टर को भी उपचार के लिए अस्पताल भिजवाया।
मोदीनगर एसीपी भास्कर वर्मा ने बताया कि हादसे में घायल कांवड़िए अभिषेक को मेरठ के अस्पताल में उपचार के लिए भेजा गया है। वहीं ट्रक चालक शहजाद और कंडक्टर प्यार मोहम्मद का गोविंदपुरी सीएचसी में उपचार चल रहा है। उन्होंने बताया कि मामले में आवश्यक कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
पुलिस हादसे के कारणों और पूरे घटनाक्रम की जांच कर रही है। फिलहाल मौके पर पुलिस बल तैनात है और स्थिति सामान्य बताई जा रही है।
Truck Hits Kanwariyas on Delhi-Meerut Expressway, One Seriously Injured
Ghaziabad/Bhojpur: A truck loaded with bricks hit a group of Kanwariyas on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway near Hawa Hawai Hotel in the Bhojpur police station area of Ghaziabad on Sunday. One Kanwariya, identified as Abhishek, was seriously injured in the accident.
Abhishek suffered a severe leg injury. After receiving initial treatment, he was referred to Subharti Hospital in Meerut, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Kanwariyas Were Returning From Haridwar
According to information, a group of Kanwariyas was travelling towards Mathura after collecting holy water from Haridwar. At the same time, a brick-laden truck was travelling from Meerut towards Ghaziabad.
The accident took place near Hawa Hawai Hotel when the truck collided with the Kanwariyas. Abhishek sustained a serious injury to his leg and was taken for medical treatment.
Angry Kanwariyas Beat Truck Driver and Conductor
Following the accident, other Kanwariyas at the spot became angry. They stopped the truck and pulled the driver and conductor out of the vehicle before allegedly beating them.
The truck driver, Shehzad, and conductor, Pyar Mohammad, were also injured in the incident. Both are reportedly residents of Khivai village in Meerut. They were taken to the Govindpuri Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
Police Reach Spot and Control Situation
Police reached the location after receiving information about the incident and brought the situation under control. Additional police personnel were deployed at the spot as a precautionary measure.
Modinagar ACP Bhaskar Verma said that injured Kanwariya Abhishek was referred to a hospital in Meerut for treatment. The truck driver Shehzad and conductor Pyar Mohammad are receiving treatment at Govindpuri CHC.
The ACP said that necessary legal action would be taken in the matter.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident and the sequence of events. The situation at the spot is currently reported to be normal.
