मोदीनगर। ग्राम सारा गोविंदपुरी के ग्रामीणों ने सड़क पर किए गए कथित अतिक्रमण को हटाने की मांग को लेकर तहसील दिवस के दौरान मोदीनगर तहसील पहुंचकर एसडीएम को ज्ञापन सौंपा। ग्रामीणों ने आरोप लगाया कि सड़क चौड़ीकरण से पहले अवैध निर्माणों को हटाए बिना सड़क एवं नाली निर्माण कराया जा रहा है, जिससे भविष्य में आम जनता को परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ सकता है।
ग्रामीणों ने अपने ज्ञापन में बताया कि मोदीनगर नगर पालिका परिषद द्वारा ग्राम सारा गोविंदपुरी मार्ग का निर्माण कार्य कराया जा रहा है। इस सड़क के चौड़ीकरण की मांग ग्रामीण लंबे समय से कर रहे थे और कई बार प्रशासन को प्रार्थना पत्र भी दिए गए थे। इसके बाद सड़क निर्माण कार्य शुरू किया गया, लेकिन सड़क की भूमि पर बने कथित अवैध चबूतरे, निर्माण और अन्य अतिक्रमणों को हटाए बिना ही निर्माण कार्य जारी रखा गया है।
ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि यदि सड़क पर किए गए अतिक्रमण नहीं हटाए गए तो सड़क की चौड़ाई प्रभावित होगी, जिससे बड़े वाहनों के आवागमन में कठिनाई आएगी। साथ ही भविष्य में स्थानीय लोगों के बीच विवाद और दुर्घटनाओं की संभावना भी बढ़ सकती है।
ग्रामीणों ने प्रशासन से मांग की कि पहले सड़क की भूमि से सभी अवैध अतिक्रमण हटाए जाएं और उसके बाद ही सड़क एवं नाली निर्माण कार्य कराया जाए। उनका कहना है कि यदि अतिक्रमण हटाए बिना निर्माण कार्य पूरा कर दिया गया तो सार्वजनिक हित प्रभावित होगा।
तहसील दिवस में पहुंचे ग्रामीणों ने एसडीएम से तत्काल हस्तक्षेप करने की मांग करते हुए कहा कि जब तक सड़क से अतिक्रमण नहीं हटाया जाता, तब तक निर्माण कार्य पर रोक लगाई जाए। ग्रामीणों ने यह भी चेतावनी दी कि यदि उनकी मांगों पर कार्रवाई नहीं हुई तो वे उच्च अधिकारियों से शिकायत करने के साथ-साथ आंदोलन करने के लिए भी मजबूर होंगे।
इस दौरान बड़ी संख्या में ग्रामवासी तहसील परिसर पहुंचे और प्रशासन से निष्पक्ष एवं शीघ्र कार्रवाई की मांग की।
Modinagar Villagers Submit Memorandum During Tehsil Diwas, Demand Removal of Road Encroachments Before Construction
According to the memorandum, the Modinagar Municipal Council has initiated the construction and improvement of the Sara Govindpuri road following repeated requests from local residents for road widening. However, villagers alleged that construction work is being carried out without removing encroachments, illegal platforms, and other structures built on the public road.
Residents stated that if the encroachments are not removed before the construction is completed, the road will remain narrow, creating difficulties for the movement of heavy vehicles and increasing the possibility of future traffic congestion and local disputes.
The villagers urged the administration to demolish all alleged illegal encroachments on the road before proceeding with the construction of the road and drainage system. They emphasized that completing the project without clearing the encroachments would affect public convenience and long-term infrastructure planning.
During Tehsil Diwas, a large number of villagers gathered at the Modinagar Tehsil office and appealed to the SDM for immediate intervention. They also requested that the construction work be temporarily halted until the encroachments are removed.
The residents warned that if appropriate action is not taken, they would be compelled to approach higher authorities and launch a public protest to safeguard public land and ensure proper road widening.
