मोदीनगर: बढ़ती महंगाई, बेरोजगारी, महंगे इलाज और किसानों की समस्याओं को लेकर शनिवार को कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने मोदीनगर तहसील में जोरदार धरना-प्रदर्शन किया। कांग्रेस नेताओं ने सरकार के खिलाफ नारेबाजी करते हुए गन्ने का मूल्य बढ़ाकर ₹800 प्रति कुंतल करने सहित कई प्रमुख मांगें उठाईं।
शहर कांग्रेस कमेटी के शहर अध्यक्ष बृजेश कुमार सेन और पीसीसी सदस्य उत्तर प्रदेश सुनील शर्मा के नेतृत्व में बड़ी संख्या में कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता तहसील गेट पर एकत्र हुए। कार्यकर्ताओं ने तहसील परिसर में आयोजित संपूर्ण समाधान दिवस के दौरान प्रदर्शन किया और बाद में राज्यपाल के नाम एसडीएम मोदीनगर को ज्ञापन सौंपा।
बढ़ती महंगाई से आम जनता परेशान: कांग्रेस
शहर कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष बृजेश कुमार सेन ने कहा कि पेट्रोल, डीजल, सीएनजी, एलपीजी और पीएनजी समेत रोजमर्रा की जरूरत की वस्तुओं की कीमतों में लगातार वृद्धि हो रही है। इसका सीधा असर गरीब और मध्यम वर्ग के परिवारों की आर्थिक स्थिति पर पड़ रहा है।
उन्होंने कहा कि बढ़ती महंगाई के कारण आम लोगों के लिए घर का खर्च चलाना मुश्किल होता जा रहा है। कांग्रेस ने सरकार से महंगाई पर नियंत्रण करने और आम जनता को राहत देने के लिए प्रभावी कदम उठाने की मांग की।
बेरोजगारी, पेपर लीक और महंगी शिक्षा का मुद्दा उठाया
पीसीसी सदस्य सुनील शर्मा ने उत्तर प्रदेश में बेरोजगारी, पेपर लीक, महंगी शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को गंभीर समस्या बताया।
उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि कई निजी स्कूलों में एनसीईआरटी की किताबों के बजाय महंगी निजी प्रकाशकों की किताबें लगाई जा रही हैं, जिससे अभिभावकों पर अतिरिक्त आर्थिक बोझ पड़ रहा है।
उन्होंने कहा कि निजी अस्पतालों में इलाज लगातार महंगा होता जा रहा है, जिसके कारण सामान्य और मध्यम वर्गीय परिवारों को गंभीर आर्थिक परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
गन्ने का मूल्य ₹800 प्रति कुंतल करने की मांग
कांग्रेस नेताओं ने किसानों की समस्याओं को भी प्रमुखता से उठाया। सुनील शर्मा ने कहा कि बढ़ती महंगाई के दौर में किसानों को उनकी फसल का उचित मूल्य मिलना बेहद जरूरी है।
उन्होंने सरकार से गन्ने का मूल्य बढ़ाकर ₹800 प्रति कुंतल करने की मांग की। उनका कहना था कि किसानों को उचित मूल्य मिलने से उनकी आर्थिक स्थिति मजबूत होगी और बढ़ती महंगाई के बीच उन्हें राहत मिल सकेगी।
सरकारी विभागों में भ्रष्टाचार पर उठाए सवाल
प्रदर्शन के दौरान कांग्रेस नेताओं ने तहसील, थाने, बिजली विभाग, नगर पालिका और अन्य सरकारी विभागों में कथित भ्रष्टाचार के मुद्दे पर भी सवाल उठाए।
कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने सरकार के खिलाफ नारेबाजी करते हुए जनहित से जुड़ी समस्याओं का जल्द समाधान करने की मांग की।
राज्यपाल के नाम एसडीएम मोदीनगर को सौंपा ज्ञापन
प्रदर्शन के बाद कांग्रेस नेताओं और कार्यकर्ताओं ने राज्यपाल के नाम एसडीएम मोदीनगर को ज्ञापन सौंपा। ज्ञापन में बढ़ती महंगाई पर रोक लगाने, बेरोजगारी की समस्या का समाधान करने, शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को सस्ता करने तथा किसानों को गन्ने का उचित मूल्य देने की मांग की गई।
सैकड़ों कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता रहे मौजूद
प्रदर्शन में ब्लॉक अध्यक्ष मोदीनगर चांद वीर चौधरी, ब्लॉक अध्यक्ष गोविंदपुरी राकेश सोनी, संजय कौशिक, देवेंद्र शर्मा, भिखारी लाल कश्यप, सुभाष चंद्र शर्मा, मुनीष शर्मा, शाहनवाज अहमद, पंडित सुरेश दोसा, जहूर सैफी, शाकिर खान, प्रवीण कुमार, वकील अहमद, सतपाल सिंह, बेगराज सिंह, आदेश त्यागी, सेंसर पाल, शाहिद, महेश दत्त शर्मा, सैयद हुसैन रिजवी, विशाल कौशिक, आरिफ रिजवी, राजकुमार त्यागी और चौधरी जगपाल सिंह समेत बड़ी संख्या में कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता मौजूद रहे।
इसके अलावा जिला उपाध्यक्ष भुवनेश्वर प्रसाद शर्मा, ब्रह्मपाल भारद्वाज, हरीश खुल्लर लाडडा और अब्दुल सही सहित सैकड़ों कार्यकर्ताओं ने प्रदर्शन में भाग लिया।
Congress Holds Strong Protest at Modinagar Tehsil, Demands Sugarcane Price of ₹800 Per Quintal
Modinagar: Congress workers staged a strong protest at the Modinagar Tehsil on Saturday over rising inflation, unemployment, expensive healthcare and problems faced by farmers. The party leaders demanded that the government increase the sugarcane price to ₹800 per quintal.
A large number of Congress workers gathered at the Tehsil gate under the leadership of City Congress Committee President Brijesh Kumar Sen and Uttar Pradesh PCC member Sunil Sharma.
The workers raised slogans against the government and staged a demonstration during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas organised at the Tehsil. Later, they submitted a memorandum addressed to the Governor to the SDM of Modinagar, highlighting several public issues.
Congress Raises Concerns Over Rising Inflation
City Congress President Brijesh Kumar Sen said that the continuous increase in the prices of petrol, diesel, CNG, LPG, PNG and other essential commodities is creating serious financial difficulties for ordinary citizens.
He said that rising inflation has made it increasingly difficult for poor and middle-class families to manage their household expenses. The Congress leader demanded that the government take effective steps to control inflation and provide relief to the public.
Unemployment, Paper Leaks and Expensive Education Raised
PCC member Sunil Sharma said that unemployment, paper leaks, expensive education and costly healthcare services remain serious concerns in Uttar Pradesh.
He alleged that several private schools are prescribing expensive books from private publishers instead of NCERT books, placing an additional financial burden on parents.
Sharma also raised concerns over the increasing cost of treatment in private hospitals, saying that expensive healthcare is creating major difficulties for ordinary and middle-class families.
Demand to Increase Sugarcane Price to ₹800 Per Quintal
Congress leaders also highlighted the problems faced by farmers. Sunil Sharma said that farmers must receive a fair price for their crops, especially at a time when inflation and agricultural costs are increasing.
The Congress leader demanded that the government increase the sugarcane price to ₹800 per quintal. He said that a better price for sugarcane would strengthen the financial condition of farmers and provide them relief from rising expenses.
Questions Raised Over Alleged Corruption in Government Departments
During the protest, Congress leaders also raised questions regarding alleged corruption in various government departments, including the Tehsil administration, police stations, electricity department, municipal bodies and other public offices.
Congress workers raised slogans and demanded the early resolution of public issues.
Memorandum Submitted to SDM Modinagar
Following the protest, Congress leaders submitted a memorandum addressed to the Governor to the SDM of Modinagar.
The memorandum included demands for controlling inflation, addressing unemployment, making education and healthcare more affordable and ensuring better prices for farmers, including a sugarcane price of ₹800 per quintal.
Hundreds of Congress Workers Participate
Several Congress leaders and workers participated in the protest, including Modinagar Block President Chand Veer Chaudhary, Govindpuri Block President Rakesh Soni, Sanjay Kaushik, Devendra Sharma, Bhikhari Lal Kashyap, Subhash Chandra Sharma, Munish Sharma, Shah Nawaz Ahmad, Pandit Suresh Dosa, Zahoor Saifi, Shakir Khan, Praveen Kumar and others.
District Vice President Bhuvneshwar Prasad Sharma, Brahmpal Bhardwaj, Harish Khullar Ladda, Abdul Sahi and hundreds of Congress workers were also present during the demonstration.
