भोजपुर, गाजियाबाद: उत्तर प्रदेश के गाजियाबाद जिले के भोजपुर थाना क्षेत्र में भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वज तिरंगे से मोटरसाइकिल साफ करने का कथित वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल होने के बाद पुलिस ने आरोपी युवक के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कराया है। पुलिस के अनुसार, वायरल वीडियो में दिखाई देने वाले युवक की पहचान आजाद पुत्र यामीन, निवासी त्यौड़ी-7 बिस्वा, थाना भोजपुर के रूप में बताई गई है। मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी गई है।
सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हुआ तिरंगे से बाइक साफ करने का वीडियो
पुलिस के मुताबिक, 7 अक्टूबर 2026 को उपनिरीक्षक धर्मेंद्र कुमार शर्मा थाना भोजपुर क्षेत्र में गश्त, चेकिंग और शिकायतों की जांच कर रहे थे। इसी दौरान थाना भोजपुर के सोशल मीडिया व्हाट्सऐप ग्रुप पर सूचना मिली कि ट्विटर (एक्स) हैंडल पर एक वीडियो प्रसारित हो रहा है।
वीडियो में ग्राम किल्हौड़ा, थाना भोजपुर क्षेत्र में एक व्यक्ति कथित तौर पर भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वज से अपनी मोटरसाइकिल साफ करता दिखाई दे रहा था। सूचना मिलने के बाद पुलिस ने वीडियो की जांच की और आसपास के लोगों से पूछताछ कर वीडियो में दिखाई देने वाले व्यक्ति की पहचान की।
राष्ट्रीय गौरव अपमान निवारण अधिनियम के तहत मुकदमा
पुलिस के अनुसार, राष्ट्रीय ध्वज का इस प्रकार कथित इस्तेमाल राष्ट्रीय गौरव अपमान निवारण अधिनियम, 1971 की धारा 2 के तहत दंडनीय हो सकता है। मामले में उपनिरीक्षक धर्मेंद्र कुमार शर्मा की तहरीर के आधार पर आरोपी के खिलाफ संबंधित धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज कराया गया है।
तहरीर के मुताबिक, कथित घटना 7 अक्टूबर 2026 को दोपहर करीब 1:30 बजे की बताई गई है। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है। फिलहाल, मामले में जांच के निष्कर्ष और आगे की कार्रवाई का इंतजार है।

Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: Police have registered a case against a man after a video allegedly showing him cleaning a motorcycle with the Indian national flag went viral on social media in Bhojpur police station limits of Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh. According to police, the man seen in the video has been identified as Azad, son of Yameen, a resident of Tyodi-7 Biswa, under Bhojpur police station.
Viral Video Reported From Kilhaura Village
According to the police, on October 7, 2026, Sub-Inspector Dharmendra Kumar Sharma was conducting patrols, checking activities and examining complaints in his assigned area. During this time, information was received through the Bhojpur police station’s WhatsApp social media group about a video circulating on a Twitter (X) account.
The video allegedly showed a person in Kilhaura village, within Bhojpur police station limits, using the Indian national flag to clean his motorcycle. After receiving the information, police examined the video and questioned local residents to establish the identity of the person seen in it.
Case Registered Under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act
Police stated that the alleged use of the national flag could constitute an offence under Section 2 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. A case was registered against the identified man based on a written complaint submitted by Sub-Inspector Dharmendra Kumar Sharma.
According to the complaint, the alleged incident took place at around 1:30 PM on October 7, 2026. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
