Justice Yashwant Varma Resigns : इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट के जज जस्टिस यशवंत वर्मा ने कथित कैश-एट-होम विवाद के बीच अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। उन्होंने यह इस्तीफा भारत के राष्ट्रपति को सौंपा है। जस्टिस वर्मा ने अपने इस्तीफे में लिखा कि वह “गहरे दुख के साथ” तत्काल प्रभाव से अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे रहे हैं। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि इस पद पर सेवा देना उनके लिए सम्मान की बात रही है। इस्तीफे की एक प्रति भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश Surya Kant को भी भेजी गई है।
जस्टिस वर्मा के खिलाफ लोकसभा में जांच प्रक्रिया जारी थी। Om Birla ने जजेस (इंक्वायरी) एक्ट, 1968 के तहत तीन सदस्यीय समिति गठित की थी, जो उनके खिलाफ आरोपों की जांच कर रही थी।
