उत्तर प्रदेश के बहराइच जिले के सुजौली इलाके में तेंदुए के हमले में 35 वर्षीय महिला की मौत हो गई। घटना गुरुवार शाम गड़रियन पुरवा गांव के पास की बताई जा रही है। महिला की पहचान ममता के रूप में हुई है। बताया गया कि वह अपने घर के पास खेत में काम कर रही थीं, तभी पास के गन्ने के खेत से एक तेंदुआ बाहर आया और उन पर हमला कर दिया।
गन्ने के खेत से निकला तेंदुआ, महिला पर किया हमला
जानकारी के अनुसार, ममता अपने घर के पास खेत में काम कर रही थीं। इसी दौरान पास के गन्ने के खेत से अचानक तेंदुआ निकला और महिला पर हमला कर दिया। हमले में महिला की मौत हो गई। घटनास्थल नजदीकी जंगल से करीब 2 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर बताया गया है।
घटना की सूचना मिलने के बाद पुलिस और वन विभाग की टीमें मौके पर पहुंचीं। पुलिस ने महिला के शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया।
वन विभाग ने बढ़ाई निगरानी, लगाए गए कैमरा ट्रैप
घटना के बाद वन विभाग ने इलाके में निगरानी बढ़ा दी है। तेंदुए की गतिविधियों पर नजर रखने के लिए घटनास्थल के आसपास कैमरा ट्रैप लगाए गए हैं।
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, हमले वाली जगह से करीब 100 से 200 मीटर की दूरी पर दो कैमरा ट्रैप घटना से कुछ समय पहले ही लगाए गए थे। वन विभाग की टीमें अब क्षेत्र में तेंदुए की गतिविधियों पर लगातार नजर रख रही हैं।
बाढ़ के बाद आबादी वाले इलाकों में बढ़ी वन्यजीवों की आवाजाही
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, हाल की बाढ़ के बाद तेंदुओं के आबादी वाले इलाकों की ओर आने की घटनाएं बढ़ी हैं। सुजौली क्षेत्र में इससे पहले भी तेंदुए के हमले की घटनाएं सामने आ चुकी हैं।
इस महीने की शुरुआत में एक 86 वर्षीय महिला की तेंदुए के हमले में मौत हुई थी। इसके अलावा, एक अन्य घटना में एक युवक के घायल होने की जानकारी सामने आई थी।
सुजौली में तेंदुए और बाघिन की मौजूदगी से बढ़ी चिंता
इलाके में हाल के दिनों में अन्य वन्यजीवों की मौजूदगी भी देखी गई है। ग्रामीणों के अनुसार, एक तेंदुआ आबादी के पास एक खाली चारपाई पर बैठा दिखाई दिया था।
वहीं, गुरुवार सुबह मोतीपुर-सुजौली मार्ग पर एक बाघिन अपने तीन शावकों के साथ दिखाई दी। बाघिन और उसके शावकों की मौजूदगी के बाद कुछ समय के लिए मार्ग पर यातायात भी प्रभावित हुआ।
वन विभाग ने क्षेत्र में निगरानी और रेस्क्यू गतिविधियां बढ़ा दी हैं।
वन विभाग ने लोगों से सतर्क रहने की अपील की
तेंदुए के हमले में महिला की मौत के बाद स्थानीय लोगों में चिंता का माहौल है। वन अधिकारियों ने जंगल और कृषि क्षेत्रों के आसपास रहने वाले लोगों से सतर्क रहने की अपील की है।
लगातार वन्यजीवों की आवाजाही को देखते हुए वन विभाग की टीमें क्षेत्र में निगरानी कर रही हैं और तेंदुए की गतिविधियों पर नजर रखी जा रही है।
Bahraich Leopard Attack: 35-Year-Old Woman Killed While Working in Field in Sujauli
A 35-year-old woman was killed in a leopard attack in Sujauli area of Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh. The incident reportedly took place on Thursday evening near Gadarian Purwa village. The woman, identified as Mamta, was working in a field near her house when a leopard emerged from a nearby sugarcane field and attacked her.
Leopard Emerged From Sugarcane Field
According to the available information, Mamta was working in an agricultural field near her home when the leopard suddenly came out of a nearby sugarcane field and attacked her.
The woman died in the attack. The incident site is reportedly around 2 kilometres from the nearby forest area.
After receiving information about the incident, police and Forest Department teams reached the spot. Police took the woman’s body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination.
Forest Department Increases Surveillance
Following the leopard attack, the Forest Department has increased surveillance in the area. Camera traps have been installed around the location to monitor leopard movement.
Officials said that two camera traps had already been installed around 100 to 200 metres from the attack site shortly before the incident. Forest teams are continuing to monitor the area for further wildlife movement.
Wildlife Movement Reportedly Increased After Recent Floods
According to officials, incidents of leopards moving towards populated areas have increased following the recent floods.
The Sujauli area has also reported leopard attack incidents in the past. Earlier this month, an 86-year-old woman was reportedly killed in a leopard attack, while a separate incident involved a young man being injured.
Leopard and Tigress Sightings Raise Concern
Recent wildlife sightings have also increased concern among residents in the area.
According to local residents, a leopard was spotted sitting on an empty charpai near a populated area. On Thursday morning, a tigress and her three cubs were also reportedly spotted on the Motipur-Sujauli road. The sighting temporarily affected traffic movement on the route.
The Forest Department has increased monitoring and rescue activities in the area.
Forest Officials Urge Residents to Stay Alert
The latest leopard attack has caused concern among residents of the area. Forest officials have advised people living near forests and agricultural fields to remain alert.
With continued wildlife movement reported in and around the area, Forest Department teams are maintaining surveillance and monitoring the movement of leopards and other wild animals.
