Marco Rubio India Energy Cooperation : अमेरिका के विदेश मंत्री मार्को रुबियो ने भारत को अमेरिका का “महान सहयोगी और साझेदार” बताते हुए कहा है कि वाशिंगटन भारत को जितनी ऊर्जा खरीदनी हो, उतनी बेचने के लिए तैयार है। भारत यात्रा से पहले पत्रकारों से बातचीत में रुबियो ने कहा कि दोनों देशों के बीच ऊर्जा सहयोग बढ़ाने पर सक्रिय चर्चा चल रही है।
रुबियो ने कहा, “हम भारत को जितनी ऊर्जा वह खरीदना चाहे, उतनी बेचना चाहते हैं।” उन्होंने बताया कि अमेरिका इस समय रिकॉर्ड स्तर पर ऊर्जा उत्पादन और निर्यात कर रहा है तथा भारत को अपने ऊर्जा व्यापार पोर्टफोलियो का बड़ा हिस्सा बनाना चाहता है।

विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि भारत अपने ऊर्जा स्रोतों में विविधता लाने के लिए नए विकल्पों पर विचार कर रहा है और वेनेजुएला का तेल भी इस रणनीति का हिस्सा बन सकता है।

अमेरिकी विदेश मंत्री 23 से 26 मई तक भारत के दौरे पर रहेंगे। इस दौरान वह नई दिल्ली, कोलकाता, आगरा और जयपुर का दौरा करेंगे। यात्रा के दौरान ऊर्जा सुरक्षा, व्यापार, रक्षा सहयोग और रणनीतिक साझेदारी प्रमुख एजेंडा रहेंगे।
रुबियो ने क्वाड देशों के विदेश मंत्रियों से मुलाकात को भी महत्वपूर्ण बताया। क्वाड में भारत, अमेरिका, जापान और ऑस्ट्रेलिया शामिल हैं।
होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य पर अमेरिका की चेतावनी
ईरान से जुड़े सवालों पर रुबियो ने कहा कि अमेरिका किसी भी ऐसे प्रयास को स्वीकार नहीं करेगा जिससे स्ट्रेट ऑफ होर्मुज के जरिए होने वाले अंतरराष्ट्रीय समुद्री व्यापार पर नियंत्रण या शुल्क लगाया जाए। यह जलमार्ग वैश्विक तेल आपूर्ति के लिए बेहद महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है।
