Modinagar News: कोतवाली क्षेत्र की भूपेन्द्रपुरी कॉलोनी में रहने वाली कविता की मौत के मामले में मोदीनगर पुलिस ने पति और सास के खिलाफ खुदकुशी को उकसाने की धारा में केस दर्ज किया है। मुलतानीपुरा स्थित पड़ाव कॉलोनी निवासी मुनेश देवी ने बताया कि र लगभग 12 वर्ष पूर्व उनकी बेटी कविता की शादी भूपेन्द्रपुरी कॉलोनी निवासी दीपक के साथ हुई थी। दंपती के सात वर्ष एक एक बेटा है। आरोप है कि ससुराल वाले शादी में मिले दहेज से नाखुश थे। आरोपी दहेज की मांग को लेकर आए दिन कविता को प्रताड़ित करते थे। कविता ने मामले की शिकायत अपने परिजनों से की तो आरोपी ससुराल वालों ने उसका मायके आना जाना बंद कर दिया। आरोप है कि बीती 24 फरवरी को ससुराल वालों ने कविता को बुरी तरह पीटा। कविता लहूलुहान हो गई और उसका शव फंदे से लटका मिला।एसीपी मोदीनगर ने बताया कि तहरीर के अनुसार पति दीपक और सास उषा के खिलाफ खुदकुशी की धारा में रिपोर्ट दर्ज कर मामले की जांज शुरू कर दी है।

Munesh Devi, a resident of Padav Colony in Multanipura, said that about 12 years ago, her daughter Kavita was married to Deepak, a resident of Bhupendrapuri Colony. The couple has a seven-year-old son each.It is alleged that the in-laws were unhappy with the dowry received at the time of marriage. The accused used to harass Kavita daily for dowry demand. When Kavita complained about the matter to her family, the accused in-laws stopped her from visiting her parents' house. It is alleged that on February 24, the in-laws beat Kavita badly. Kavita was covered in blood and her body was found hanging from a noose. ACP Modinagar said that as per the complaint, a report has been registered against husband Deepak and mother-in-law Usha under the section of suicide and investigation has been started in the matter.
