Ghaziabad News: गाजियाबाद विजयनगर थाना क्षेत्र में देर रात पुलिस और दो वांछित आरोपियों के बीच मुठभेड़ हुई। पुलिस के मुताबिक, रेप के मुकदमे में वांछित दोनों आरोपी शालीमार नगर स्थित जल निगम प्लांट के पास दिखाई दिए थे। पुलिस ने फ्रेग्रेन्स सोसाइटी के पास बैरियर लगाकर चेकिंग शुरू की। इसी दौरान बाइक सवार दोनों संदिग्धों को रोकने का प्रयास किया गया, जिसके बाद मुठभेड़ हुई। जवाबी कार्रवाई में दोनों आरोपियों के पैरों में गोली लगी।
विजयनगर में चेकिंग के दौरान हुई मुठभेड़
पुलिस के अनुसार, सूचना मिलने के बाद टीम ने फ्रेग्रेन्स सोसाइटी के पास बैरियर लगाकर वाहनों की चेकिंग शुरू की। इसी दौरान बाइक पर सवार दो संदिग्ध दिखाई दिए। पुलिस ने उन्हें रोकने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन वे कथित तौर पर बाइक मोड़कर भागने लगे।
पुलिस के मुताबिक, रास्ता उबड़-खाबड़ होने के कारण बाइक असंतुलित होकर गिर गई। इसके बाद दोनों आरोपियों ने पुलिस टीम पर फायरिंग की। पुलिस ने जवाबी कार्रवाई की, जिसमें दोनों के पैरों में गोली लगी।
मुस्तकीम और प्रदीप के रूप में हुई आरोपियों की पहचान
पुलिस ने घायल आरोपियों की पहचान मुस्तकीम, निवासी चमन कॉलोनी, उम्र 48 वर्ष, और प्रदीप, निवासी सिद्धार्थ विहार, उम्र 40 वर्ष के रूप में की है। पुलिस के अनुसार, दोनों रेप के मुकदमे में वांछित थे।
दो अवैध तमंचे और बाइक बरामद करने का दावा
पुलिस के मुताबिक, आरोपियों के कब्जे से दो अवैध तमंचे, दो जिंदा कारतूस, बिना नंबर प्लेट की एक बाइक और दो मोबाइल फोन बरामद किए गए हैं।
मुठभेड़ में घायल दोनों आरोपियों को उपचार के लिए अस्पताल भेजा गया। पुलिस का कहना है कि मामले में आवश्यक वैधानिक कार्रवाई की जा रही है।
पुलिस कर रही है मामले में आगे की कार्रवाई
इस मामले में पुलिस की ओर से एसीपी उपासना पाण्डेय, कोतवाली नगर, का बयान भी लिया गया है। पुलिस के अनुसार, मुठभेड़ और बरामदगी से जुड़े मामले में आगे की कानूनी प्रक्रिया जारी है।

Ghaziabad: Two wanted accused in a rape case were injured in an alleged police encounter late at night in the Vijaynagar police station area of Ghaziabad, according to police. The two men were reportedly spotted near the Jal Nigam plant in Shalimar Nagar. Following the information, police set up a barricade and began checking near Fragrance Society.
Encounter Reported During Police Checking in Vijaynagar
According to police, officers attempted to stop two men travelling on a motorcycle. The suspects allegedly turned the motorcycle around and tried to flee. Their motorcycle lost balance and fell because of the uneven road.
Police said the two men then opened fire at the police team. In retaliatory firing, both allegedly sustained gunshot injuries to their legs.
Accused Identified as Mustakeem and Pradeep
Police identified the injured men as Mustakeem, 48, a resident of Chaman Colony, and Pradeep, 40, a resident of Siddharth Vihar. According to police, both were wanted in connection with a rape case.
Police Claim Recovery of Illegal Firearms and Motorcycle
Police said two illegal country-made pistols, two live cartridges, a motorcycle without a number plate and two mobile phones were recovered from the accused.
Both injured men were taken to hospital for treatment. Police stated that the necessary legal proceedings were underway.

Police said further action was being taken in accordance with the law. A statement was also attributed to ACP Upasana Pandey of Kotwali Nagar in connection with the incident.
