राजस्थान से बदायूं जा रही पिकअप वैन बागपत में हादसे का शिकार, एक दर्जन से अधिक लोग घायल; गंभीर घायलों को हायर सेंटर रेफर किया गया
बागपत, उत्तर प्रदेश: उत्तर प्रदेश के बागपत जिले में सोमवार देर रात एक भीषण सड़क हादसे में 12 लोगों की मौत हो गई, जबकि एक दर्जन से अधिक लोग घायल हो गए। हादसा उस समय हुआ जब राजस्थान से यात्रियों को लेकर बदायूं जा रही एक पिकअप वैन डिवाइडर से टकराकर पलट गई।
मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी (CMO) डॉ. तीरथ लाल ने पीटीआई को बताया कि हादसे में अब तक 12 लोगों की मौत की पुष्टि हुई है। मृतकों की पहचान स्थापित करने के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं।
आधी रात के बाद हुआ भीषण हादसा
पुलिस के अनुसार, हादसा करीब रात 12:30 बजे खेकड़ा थाना क्षेत्र में हुआ। सूचना मिलने के बाद डायल 112 की चार पुलिस रिस्पॉन्स व्हीकल (PRV), एंबुलेंस और खेकड़ा थाना पुलिस की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और राहत एवं बचाव अभियान शुरू किया।
बताया गया कि पिकअप वाहन में कुल 32 लोग सवार थे। हादसे के बाद मौके पर चीख-पुकार मच गई और पुलिस व राहत दल ने घायलों को बाहर निकालकर अस्पताल पहुंचाया।
खेकड़ा और बागपत के अस्पतालों में कराया गया भर्ती
घायलों को खेकड़ा और बागपत के सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों (CHC) के अलावा बागपत जिला अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। गंभीर रूप से घायल लोगों को बेहतर और विशेषज्ञ उपचार के लिए हायर मेडिकल सेंटर रेफर किया गया है।
हादसे के वक्त ज्यादातर यात्री सो रहे थे
घायल यात्री कुंवर पाल ने बताया कि हादसे के समय ज्यादातर यात्री सो रहे थे। उनके अनुसार, अचानक तेज आवाज सुनाई दी और वाहन पलट गया। इसके बाद घटनास्थल पर चीख-पुकार मच गई।
दूसरे वाहन की टक्कर से हादसा होने का दावा
बागपत के पुलिस अधीक्षक (SP) सूरज राय ने बताया कि वाहन चालक ने दावा किया है कि पीछे से किसी अन्य वाहन ने पिकअप को टक्कर मारी थी, जिसके कारण यह हादसा हुआ।
हालांकि, पुलिस अधिकारी के अनुसार हादसे की वास्तविक वजह का पता लगाने के लिए जांच की जा रही है। पुलिस दुर्घटना से जुड़े सभी पहलुओं की जांच कर रही है।

पुलिस मृतकों और घायलों के परिजनों से संपर्क करने में जुटी है और उन्हें आवश्यक सहायता उपलब्ध कराई जा रही है।
Baghpat Road Accident: 12 Killed After Pickup Van Carrying 32 Hits Divider and Overturns
Pickup vehicle carrying passengers from Rajasthan to Budaun overturned in Baghpat; more than a dozen injured, seriously injured victims referred to higher medical centres
Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh: At least 12 people were killed and more than a dozen others were injured after a pickup vehicle carrying 32 passengers overturned after hitting a road divider in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district late Monday night, police said.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Teerath Lal confirmed to PTI that 12 people had died in the accident so far. Authorities were making efforts to establish the identities of the deceased.
Accident Took Place Around Midnight
According to police, the accident took place at around 12:30 am in the Khekra police station area of Baghpat.
After receiving information that a vehicle carrying 32 people had overturned, four Police Response Vehicles (PRVs) of Dial 112, ambulance services and personnel from the Khekra police station rushed to the spot.
Rescue and relief operations were immediately launched.
Injured Taken to Hospitals
The injured passengers were admitted to Community Health Centres in Khekra and Baghpat, along with the district hospital in Baghpat.
Those who suffered serious injuries were referred to higher medical centres for specialised treatment, police said.
Most Passengers Were Sleeping
Injured passenger Kunwar Pal said most of the passengers were asleep when the accident occurred.
He said there was suddenly a loud noise, following which the vehicle overturned and screams were heard at the scene.
Police Investigating Cause of Crash
Superintendent of Police Suraj Rai said the driver claimed that another vehicle had hit the pickup from behind, causing the accident.
However, police are investigating the actual cause of the crash and are examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Police Contacting Families of Victims
Police officials are working to contact the family members of those killed and injured in the accident and are providing necessary assistance.
