नेपाल में बुधवार को भोटे कोशी-त्रिशूली नदी बेसिन में आई भीषण फ्लैश फ्लड ने बड़े पैमाने पर तबाही मचाई है। बाढ़ का पानी तिब्बत की ओर से अचानक बढ़ने के बाद रासुवा और आसपास के कई जिलों में हालात गंभीर हो गए। राहत और बचाव अभियान लगातार जारी है।
नेपाल पुलिस के अनुसार अब तक 157 शव बरामद किए जा चुके हैं, जबकि रासुवा में 403 नेपाली और विदेशी पर्यटकों के लापता होने की जानकारी सामने आई है।
133 भारतीय नागरिक लापता
लापता लोगों में 341 विदेशी नागरिक शामिल हैं। इनमें 133 भारतीय नागरिक बताए गए हैं। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार लापता भारतीयों में तमिलनाडु के 103 और केरल के 36 पर्यटक शामिल हैं।
लापता 403 लोगों में कुल 203 महिलाएं और 200 पुरुष हैं। वहीं, 62 नेपाली नागरिक भी लापता बताए गए हैं।
भूकंप और हिमस्खलन को लेकर जांच
नेपाल के विदेश मंत्री ने शुरुआती जानकारी के आधार पर बताया कि संभवतः भूकंप के कारण हिमस्खलन हुआ, जिसके बाद अचानक बाढ़ की स्थिति पैदा हुई हो सकती है। हालांकि, अधिकारियों की ओर से घटना के पूरे क्रम और बाढ़ के सटीक कारणों की अभी जांच की जा रही है।
कई जिलों में हाई अलर्ट
फ्लैश फ्लड के बाद नेपाल के रासुवा, नुवाकोट, धादिंग, चितवन और गोरखा जिलों में अलर्ट जारी किया गया है। निचले इलाकों में भी नदी का जलस्तर बढ़ने की आशंका के कारण प्रशासन सतर्क है।
भारत में भी संभावित बाढ़ के खतरे को देखते हुए बिहार प्रशासन ने स्थिति की समीक्षा शुरू कर दी है। वहीं उत्तर प्रदेश के महराजगंज और कुशीनगर जिलों में भी हाई अलर्ट जारी किया गया है। इन क्षेत्रों में गंडक-नारायणी नदी का जलस्तर बढ़ने की आशंका जताई गई है।
हेलीकॉप्टर से रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन
नेपाल में फंसे लोगों को सुरक्षित निकालने के लिए हेलीकॉप्टर और सुरक्षा बलों की मदद ली जा रही है। राहत एवं बचाव दल प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में पहुंचकर लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुंचाने में जुटे हैं।
अधिकारियों के सामने सबसे बड़ी चुनौती दुर्गम इलाकों तक पहुंचना और लापता लोगों का पता लगाना है। बचाव अभियान के आगे बढ़ने के साथ मृतकों और लापता लोगों की संख्या में बदलाव हो सकता है।
